STEVE J. SMITH
Steve J Smith, (69), “Old Guy,” a beloved husband, father, papa, brother, and friend passed away on March 17, 2024 surrounded by family. Steve was born to Floyd and Edythe (Pogany) Smith on June 15, 1954 in Britton, South Dakota. A Britton native through and through, his life and legacy will be deeply embedded in the community and with the family he loved. 04/03/2024 12:00 AM

LELAND “LEE” ALBERTS
Leland Ward Alberts (Lee) died peacefully on March 27, 2024, at the age of 73 after a hard- fought battle with cancer. Lee, son of Melvin and Doris Alberts, grew up on the family farm near Amherst, South Dakota. While growing up he kept busy with farm work and chores. He attended the school in Amherst and later transferred to Langford High School where he graduated in 1968.
