The Langford Area Board of Education met Monday. One of the highlights of the meeting was a set of four senior internship presentations, showcasing student experiences.
It was also noted that no school board election will be necessary in June. Board members Brandon Alberts and Krissa Samson submitted petitions to continue serving, while current member Bill Jensen did not. Dan Ogren submitted a petition and will join the board in July, with all members set to serve three-year terms.
A resignation from elementary special education paraprofessional Steph Wieser was approved during the meeting.
Superintendent Shad Storley updated the board on summer projects and custodial planning as the school transitions into the off-season. He also noted that new principal Abby Kwasniewski will officially begin her role in August.
Following an executive session, the board approved work agreements for non-certified staff.
The next regular board meeting is scheduled for June 9 at 6 p.m.
