Britton, SD: The memorial service for Betty Fletcher will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 6, 2020 at the Price Funeral Chapel of Britton. Diane Hoines will officiate. Myrtle Mattson, 96, Argusville, ND died on Friday, October 30, 2020 at the Halstad Living Center in Halstad, MN.
Jerome “Jerry” Krista, 71, of Chippewa Falls, died unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, October 22, 2020.
Darlas Lesnar, 65, of Bristol, SD died unexpectedly at her residence on Oct. 26th.
Sherman Lee Olson, 87, passed away Wednesday, October 21, 2020, at his home in Munford, TN. He was born on a farm in Newport Township, near Langford, SD on Oct. 30, 1932 to Omar M. & Belva E. Olson. After graduation from Langford High School in 1950, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy & was stationed aboard the aircraft carrier USS Saipan (CVL 48). In 1952 he married Ila Mae Heinz, also of Langford & was stationed in Minneapolis. From there, they moved to various cities as Sherm served on 3 more aircraft carriers. While in Charleston, SC they were so excited & happy to add a baby girl, Lynette Dawn, to their family. While in Washington, DC, he received his commission as a Warrant Officer.
