Chris was a beloved son, father, brother, and friend, and left behind a lifetime of memories in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Chris had a deep appreciation for the outdoors. He especially enjoyed fishing and hunting, finding peace and happiness in the time spent surrounded by nature. Whether sitting quietly with a fishing pole in hand or out hunting, these were moments he treasured and looked forward to sharing with others.

He will be remembered for his fun-loving personality, his love for the people in his life, and the memories he created with those around him. His presence brought something special to the lives of his family and friends, and he will be deeply missed.

He leaves behind daughter Avery Anna from Tea, SD; parents Robert and Gay from Lake City, SD; sister Jamie (Jason) Ingemansen and their children Payton, Henry and Madison from Baltic, SD; brother Cory from Groton, SD, and his children Isabella, Alexander, Aiden, and Rinken; maternal grandfather Michael Thomas from Madison, SD; and paternal grandmother AnnaMae Braun from Sisseton; along with many extended family members and dear friends who will carry his memory with them always. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Georgia Thomas; paternal grandfather Donald Braun; and uncles Jim Thomas, Terry Thomas and Randy Munk.

Though Chris is no longer with us, his memory will live on in the stories shared, the laughter remembered, and the countless moments spent together. May he rest peacefully and may the beauty of the outdoors he loved so much forever remind us of him.

Burial ceremony was at St. Nicholas Cemetery on Monday, September 7, at 2 pm followed by a Celebration of Life from 3-5 pm at The Corner Bar in Rosholt. The Eggers Funeral Home in Rosholt was in charge of the arrangements.
