Britton-Hecla’s football squad came just short of winning their second game on Friday when they traveled to Florence to take on the Florence-Henry Falcons.

Britton-Hecla’s Collin Beaner, right, celebrated with teammate Gage Storley after scoring the Braves first touchdown of the season on a 27-yard scamper against Great Plains Lutheran. Storley had his turn just over a minute later when he grabbed a 58-yard BoDell Davidson pass.

A total of 33 teams competed in the annual Britton Country Club Junior-Adult Golf Tournament held last week Tuesday. Champion teams from left to right are Lofton Heer and Jeff Amacher, Division 12-18; Jase and DJ Stelzer, Divison 5-8; and Griffin and Davin Joachim, Division 9-11.
