Former Britton-Hecla football coach Dan Olson carded his first career ace at the Britton Country Club last week Wednesday in a rather unusual way. Olson hit a tree in the left rough with his drive on the fifth hole but was not able to locate the ball. However, after playing a second ball he discovered his original shot had ended up in the hole. Course worker Ty Fagerland did not see the ball go in the hole but had checked the hole prior to Olson’s shot, serving as a witness to the hole-in-one.
