Betty Jeane (Urie) Rust of Brampton, ND, passed away Sunday, January 17, 2021. She was born October 4, 1933, in Britton, S.D., to Stephen H. Urie and Josephine C. (Finn) Urie. Betty was the seventh of nine children. She was baptized and confirmed at Brampton Lutheran Church. She attended 12 years of school at Brampton School #1.

Funeral Service for Ella F. Hustel, 98 of Veblen, SD will be held on Tuesdy, January 19, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Veblen, SD with Pastor Karie Geyer officiating. Organist will be Karen Hornseth and soloist will be TheaLoy Pallansch. Pallbearers will be Mark Peterson, Gordon Peterson, Larry Ormand, Terry Hornseth, and Robert Hull. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Staff and Care Takers at Wheatcreast Hill Healthcare Center. There will be visitation one hour prior to the funeral service at the church. Interment will be in the Nidaros Cemetery, Veblen, SD in the spring. Masks and social distancing are required. The Cahill Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Donna Smeins passed away at the Bethesda Nursing Home in Webster, SD on the morning of December 20, 2020. She had spent the last week assuring all who would listen that her beloved Lawrence would be coming to take her home. After saying goodbye to her older brother Jarvis earlier in the day, Lawrence made good on her promise and took her with him to begin their second life together.
