Leo Frederick Rust, 95, of Brampton, ND passed away May 13, 2023. He was born February 1, 1928, on a farm east of Straubville, N.D., during a blizzard. He was the son of William C. Rust and Rose Eva (Archer) Rust. Leo grew up on the outskirts of Straubville and attended grade school there. He graduated from Cogswell High School, then attended North Dakota Agricultural College at Fargo. Leo was a cattle man and deeply passionate American farmer, growing an operation to one day involve thousands of acres of spring planting – a favorite role on the farm. 05/17/2023 12:00 AM

At the Tuesday meeting of the Marshall County Commissioners, the board made the decision to wait on the bond election for the Courthouse project. Though no official date has been chosen, sometime in August looks likely.
