James Avery Larson died June 23, 2023, at Bishop Drumm Retirement Center in Johnston, Iowa, after a brief illness. The third of eight children, Jim was born on January 1, 1936, in Britton, South Dakota. This will have a major impact on houses of worship throughout northeastern South Dakota, including in Britton and Eden, though less immediate effect in the next several months.
