B-H, LA Net Squads Set For Region 1B Tourney

Both Teams Will Hit Road On Tuesday

Based on seed places through Monday Langford Area will be the sixth seed and Britton-Hecla the seventh seed when the Region 1B volleyball tournament gets underway next week.

Aplay-in game is scheduled on Monday between eighthseeded Wilmot (10-14) against ninth seed Waverly-South Shore (4-22) with quarterfinal matches set for Tuesday. The semifinal matchups are set for Thursday, Nov. 2 to determine the two SoDak 16 qualifiers. Those qualifiers will be re-seeded with the eight winners advancing to the state tournament Nov. 16-18 in Rapid City.

Seed positions could change based on final matches this week, but as of Monday the Lady Lions (12-18) would play at number three Hitchcock-Tulare (21-7) and the Lady Braves (8-14) would play at second-seeded Britton-Hecla.

Other first round regional matchups on Tuesday would pair seventh seed Britton-Hecla (8-14) at second-seeded Northwestern (26-7), topseeded Warner (33-0) will meet the play-in winner, and fourth seed Leola-Frederick Area (13-12) would play fifth seed Aberdeen Christian (1317).
