4-Hers Do Well At State Fair

Marshall County 4-H was well-represented at the State Fair earlier this month. Local 4-Hers entered many static exhibits, took part in Youth in Action events and showed livestock.

Planning A Place For All To Play

This rendering shows plans for the new playground at Langford Area School. The district is spending over $350,000 on the equipment, a turf field, and a new sidewalk. Their current equipment was close to 25 years old. The project comes after much collaboration between the district and the parents group PAWS who contributed $70,000 to the project.

What do you get when you combine a group of very motivated parent volunteers, a willing superintendent and school board, eager school children and a community happy to give? Well, in the case of Langford Area School, you get a beautiful new school playground. The huge project, that has been in the works for a number of years, is finally coming to fruition in the school district, and parents and school officials alike could not be more pleased.
