New Britton-Hecla Band Teacher Justin Desens stands with the fifth grade band. Desens took over the position this month and will be teaching music classes as well as directing multiple the fifth grade through high school bands.
It is not often that a new certified teacher joins a staff in the middle of the school year, but that is just what happened at Britton-Hecla recently.
On Sunday, the Britton Event Center hosted a full house of folks who turned out to support some good causes and also have a lot of fun.
Area city board positions will be up for election this spring.
