Pastor Terrill Sorensen works on packing a food bundle at the Methodist Church in Britton. Sorensen is a board member of Home BASE (Building Academic School Excellence), a local backpack program that sends meals home on weekends for children in need. Langford Area also operates a similar program called Home PLATE (Promoting Learning and Teaching Excellence).

No Child Left Hungry

    In small-town South Dakota, which often seems like an idyllic and quaint place, it is hard to imagine that people go hungry. Yet, it does happen.

Ten Women Graduate From Annie’s Project

    Ten women graduated from the most recent Annie’s Project program, hosted by South Dakota State University Extension, on Nov. 20 in Britton.
