2023 has been an exciting year. From near record-breaking weather to big projects and events in Journal Country, it is always difficult to pick a top story of the year.
Six Britton women traveled on a pilgrimage through Europe in October. They spent the last days of their journey in Vatican City and in Rome. The weather in the early part of 2023 dominated the news time and again. From ice to snow to flooding, the wily weather was never far from the front page. Pictured, in April, Ryan Nack tried snowblowing feet of snow off the Britton-Hecla track to help with the melting and allow the team to finally practice.
2023 has been an exciting year. From near record-breaking weather to big projects and events in Journal Country, it is always difficult to pick a top story of the year. But considering the long-term implications of this one and how many times it made the news, the Marshall County Courthouse project must be considered the top story of 2023.
