New 3D Mammography Technology At MCHC

Mayo Clinic recommends that by age 40, women should start having yearly mammograms. According to the Centers for Disease Control, breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer and the second leading cause of death among women in South Dakota. Locally, in the battle against breast cancer, a stateof- the-art tool is now available. The Marshall County Healthcare Center is now offering 3D mammography. 04/05/2023 12:00 AM

Names Released In Last Week’s Fatal Crash

For Likness, Life’s Still All About The Music

Most locals may remember Mike Likness holding a conductor’s baton in front of a band at a Britton school concert or leading the pep band at a sporting event during his 32-year tenure as band director. Or maybe recall him from his decades singing and telling jokes with the Uffda Brudders. Though he no longer stands on a stage or in front of a band, music is still an important part of his life. Fatal Crash East Of Britton Tuesday

Multiple agencies responded to an accident eight miles east of Britton around 9:05 a.m. on Highway 10 Tuesday morning. According to Tony Mangan, spokesman for the South Dakota Department of Public Safety, the accident involved two vehicles, a pickup and a car. Poll: END OR RETAIN EXPANDED MEDICAID COVERAGE? South Dakota voters will decide in November on a proposed constitutional amendment that would end the state’s expanded Medicaid coverage if the federal government’s share of funding for the expansion falls below 90%. The expansion, approved by voters in 2022, provides Medicaid eligibility to certain adults ages 19 to 64 with incomes up to the federal limit established by the constitutional amendment. The proposed amendment would remove that expanded coverage if the federal funding level drops below 90%. If the election were held today, how would you vote?
