Britton-Hecla junior forward Andrew James battled Warner’s Spencer Ketterling for the basketball during the Braves 40-37 loss to the Monarchs on Monday. James led the Braves in rebounding with seven boards as the local cages fell to 8-7 on the year.

Tough Fourth Quarter Lets Warner Off Hook

Britton-Hecla’s boys basketball squad remained above the .500 mark for the season by splitting a pair of contests during the past week.

Coach Bill Meyer’s crew dropped a tight 40-37 contest to Warner on Monday and downed Waverly-South Shore 56-35 on Friday. Last night Tuesday the local cagers traveled to Milbank.

This week the Braves will host Hamlin as part of a twin bill with the girls on Tuesday.
