Home Finale On Friday

Langford Area rolled to a 42-0 halftime lead on the way to a 48-6 football victory over Estelline-Hendricks on Friday.

The win gave the Lions a 5- 2 mark heading into their regular season finale on Friday when Waverly-South Shore (1- 6) comes to town for a 7 p.m. contest. The two clubs have played just one common opponent. LA handed Herreid-Selby its only loss 44-18 in the season opener while Waverly-South Shore was shut out by the Wolverines 50-0.

“It was a good effort by our guys,” said LA coach Paul Raasch. “We did what we needed to do to get control early and got a chance to play a lot of guys the rest of the game. We are a little banged up right now with Bryce (Peterson) and Benny (West) out, so it was good to see some guys step in and get some experience in those spots. We have another week to do that this week, which will help us get ready for the playoffs.”
