Britton-Hecla freshman Collin Beaner was about to record a pin in wrestling action this past season. The Braves will not graduate any seniors off this year’s squad and look to build with a young group of grapplers.

Seventh grader Jerard Satterlee of Britton-Hecla battled for position in wrestling action during the past season. Satterlee is one of a group of young wrestlers that gives the Braves promise for the future.

Matman Gets State Win

Britton-Hecla seventh grader Bryce Hawkinson won a match at the Class B state tournament held in Rapid City Thursday through Saturday. The 106-pounder, who took a 28-12 record into the tournament, battled eventual third place finisher Kipp Cordes (31-4) of Phillip Area in opening round action, losing a close decision 5-2.
