Jenna Werner of Britton-Hecla blocked this spike attempt in recent volleyball action. The junior standout will likely be lost for the season after suffering an ACL tear in a match in Rosholt last week Tuesday. The Lady Braves are back home against Webster Thursday.

The Britton-Hecla volleyball team lost much more than a couple of matches last week when junior standout Jenna Werner was likely lost for the season with a torn ACL. Werner went down in the match with Tri-State in Rosholt last week Tuesday when the Lady Braves dropped a 25-21, 28-30, 25-22,

BAN TABULATOR MACHINES?

Three SD counties (Gregory, Haakon and Tripp) will ask voters during the June 4 primary if they should ban the use of tabulator machines in future local elections. If the measures pass, the auditor’s offices in each county would have to hand-count ballots in the Nov. 5 general election and thereafter. Do you think tabulator machines should be banned?
