The Britton area was well represented at the Minnesota Vikings-Philadelphia Eagles football game in Minneapolis, MN, on Sunday. A bus carried area fans to watch the contest and also to cheer on native son Dallas Goedert who plays for the Eagles.
Braves Eying Perfect Season
The Britton-Hecla football team will be seeking its second straight unbeaten regular season when it travels to oncebeaten Warner on Friday for a 7 p.m. matchup.
Neither the Braves nor Warner played last week due to near-blizzard conditions. Coach Pat Renner’s crew, which had been scheduled to host Chester on Friday, takes a perfect 6-0 mark into the regular season finale, while Warner stands at 5-1.
The Monarchs only loss came at the hands of number one ranked Sully Buttes in the first game of the season 42-14. Since that time Warner had out scored its five opponents 212-43. In its’ six contests the Braves hold a 232-39 scoring advantage over opponents. The teams have not played any common opponents this season.
