Braves Boost Mark To 4-2
A 32-point second quarter explosion erased a 7-0 deficit and boosted Britton-Hecla to a 32-13 football victory over Dakota Hills in Waubay on Friday.
The win gives Coach Jacob Skogstad’s crew a 4-2 record heading into a matchup with Chester (4-2) on Friday. The start time of that game has been moved to 6 p.m.
“I thought that we came out of the gates a bit sluggish,” said Skogstad. “At the quarter break, I gave them a little challenge and the kids just took it and ran. We went into our power formation, and pretty much just dominated the line. I was very pleased with the explosive runs that we were able to produce, that was a point of emphasis in practice all week.”
