Jeanne (Baldwin) Risdall, 98, passed away at a local nursing home on Sunday, Nov. 11, 2018.

At the request of the deceased, cremation has taken place. Memorial services for both Earl and Jeanne will be held at 10:30 a.m. on December 7 at the Presbyterian Church in Veblen, with burial to follow in the Veblen Cemetery.

Jeanne was born on September 19, 1920, at Milnor, ND, the second child of Lawrence and Leona Baldwin, who farmed near Geneseo, ND. She attended country grade school and in 1938 graduated from Veblen, SD, High School. Jeanne worked eight years for the local dentist (C.E. Peterson) and in 1950 married Earl Risdall.

To this union two sons were born, Scott and Barry. In 1970 the family moved to Rapid City, where they started in the motel business which Jeanne continued until her retirement in 1998.

Surviving are her sons, Scott (Nina) Risdall of St. Louis, MO, and Barry (Margaret Hamilton) Risdall of Rapid City; one granddaughter of Missouri; great-granddaughter and great grandson, both of Missouri; and a special friend, LannetteGreseth Adams.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Earl Risdall; one sister, Patricia Twite; one brother, Donald Baldwin; and grandson, Jesse Risdall.
