Cynthia Ann Michlitsch was born April 2, 1961 in Webster, SD to Lyle and JoAnn (Janisch) Michlitsch. She attended her schooling in Langford, SD and graduated from Langford High School in 1980.

After graduation Cindy went on to college and earned a degree in Human Resources from Lake Area Technical School. With that degree she worked for a Human Service Agency in Watertown for thirty years. She also worked at the Beacon Center for a number of years and then Jenkins Living Center for twelve years.

She was an avid reader, even rereading some of the same books multiple times. On top of keeping her mind fresh with reading, she loved a good mind exercise or playing brain games. Cindy had an enormous heart for animals, but she was extremely fond of cats. In her free time you could often find her with her sister angels, Bonnie, Caryn, Bernice and Rita. Between the five of them a good time and a good laugh was sure to be had! She was thankful for their faithful friendship over the years, but especially appreciative these last couple months as she battled cancer.

Cindy passed away Sunday, February 12, 2023 at Strand-Kjorsvig Rest Home in Roslyn after a valiant battle with cancer.

Grateful for having shared her life are her father, Lyle Michlitsch of Langford; her siblings: Janet (Donovan) Moschell of Wall, SD; Judy (David) Hagen of Florence, SD; James Michlitsch of Langford; eleven nieces and nephews; and her sister angels: Bonnie, Caryn, Bernice and Rita.

Preceding her in death were her maternal and paternal grandparents; her mother; her brothers, Paul and Duane; and a nephew.

Condolences may be directed to the family in care of Lyle Michlitsch - 43226 122nd St. – Langford, SD 57454.
