Dave Andrews of Britton was recently awarded a Quilt of Valor by Kim Roehr, Britton. Roehr has been sewing the special patriotic quilts for veterans in her family for the last three years.

For a quilt for her uncle Dave Nelson, Roehr had his grandkids Lena and Eli draw patriotic pictures, then she incorporated them on the quilt.

The Britton-Hecla Oral Interp team are again District Champions. All the selections that performed at districts will move on to Regions on Monday in Webster. The team includes (left to right) Coach Gretchen Christenson, Jerod Nebrida, Emily Effling, Oliver Moeckly, Brynlee Patterson, Braydon Casey, Paisley Bray, Carter Chapin and Coach Christina Bosse.

Queens Bender, Knecht Crowned

    The 77th Britton Area Snow Queen Festival was held on Saturday. The senior and junior Snow Queens were crowned during the evening’s festivities.
