Korean War veteran Norm Carlson, Britton, stands next to one of the statues at the Korean War Memorial in Washington D.C. Carlson was one of over 80 vets to take the most recent Midwest Honor Flight trip to the nation’s capital.
Recently, a couple local veterans got to take a special plane ride that many others like them have enjoyed previously. Arnold Beck and Norman Carlson were among many vets who were part of the two latest Midwest Honor Flight trips to Washington D.C. The men toured various monuments, memorials, and perhaps most notably, received a welcome that was beyond their imagining.
Megan Biel is an avid hunter. She is pictured here with a buck she shot during archery season a few years ago. The non-typical deer scored 183 6/8 in. and is listed in the Pope & Young Record Books.
Megan Biel and her husband Ryan enjoy a hunting trip in Montana a few years ago. The Biel family rifle and archery hunt deer, antelope, and elk in South Dakota and Montana, and also apply to other states.
