Crop Reports Due July 15
Although current operating procedures do not allow customers to enter the Marshall County USDA Service Center; the staff is still ready to assist in timely filing a crop acreage report.
The deadline to complete 2020 acreage reports for corn, soybeans, sunflowers, spring wheat, CRP, and other spring seeded crops is July 15. All Marshall County operators who have not received a copy of their 2020 maps are asked to contact the office to have them emailed, mailed, or picked up via our drop box at the office.
Once acreage maps are completed they can be dropped off at the USDA Service Center, emailed to email@example.com; or mailed to Marshall County FSA, PO Box 420, Britton, SD 57430.
Upon receiving completed maps, the FSA will load the information into the system and set up an appointment to sign the acreage report or will send the report to sign and return.
Producers are asked to include a telephone number when sending maps in case the office has questions. Information on maps should include what crop was planted, the crop’s intended use, planting date, number of acres planted and if it is irrigated.
If producers have prevented planting they should draw where the prevent plant is, lists the approximate acres, and the type of crop not planted. Britton Area Snow Queen royalty helped out with the Strand Theatre’s Curbside Popcorn Friday night. Junior Snow Queen Cassidy Biel, left, Snow Queen Jaden Jenkins, and Strand worker Levi Boyko prepared to start deliveries last week. Another Curbside Popcorn event is planned for Friday, June 26.
