Angel Tree, County Food Pantry Joining Forces
The Angel Tree and the Marshall County Food Pantry Christmas Store are joining forces.
In the past, people have picked up tags at First Savings Bank from the Angel Tree and bought presents for kids who needed a little something to make Christmas a little more special. Also, through the local Food Pantry, a Christmas Store was available for not only children, but for adults who are in need of a Christmas present.
This year, the Angel Tree at First Savings Bank will be the collection point for any gift for newborns through age 18, boys and girls. The presents will be offered at the Christmas Store at the Food Pantry giveaway on Friday and Saturday, Dec. 14-15, from 10 a.m.-noon each day.
Previously, there have been folks who wanted to purchase something for the Angel Tree kids, but by the time they got to the bank, all of the tags were taken. This way, anyone who would like to buy a child a gift can do so. All gifts will be offered at the Christmas Store giveaway through the Food Pantry.
There is a list of possible gift ideas available at First Savings Bank. Gifts should be returned unwrapped by Wednesday, December 12, as the family will have its choice of what best fits the needs of family members.
Keep in mind that in addition to the Angel Tree at First Savings Bank, the Food Pantry would also welcome gifts for adults. Each family receives a gift for every family member - children and adults. Items should be new and in the price range of $15-$20.
