Ten Britton youth wrestlers finished among the top three in regional competition last weekend to advance to the state meet set for Aberdeen on March 24-26.

Despite suffering a torn ACL and being forced to sit out the volleyball and basketball seasons, senior McKaelyn Zuehlke had the opportunity to serve during a match late last season. She took advantage of the opportunity, hitting 10-11 serves and posting five aces.

Braves Fall To Top Seed In Region Quarterfinals

Britton-Hecla’s Jaxon Zuehlke squeezed his way between a couple of defenders in recent boys basketball action. The Braves fell to top-seeded Aberdeen Christian in the Region 1B quarterfinals last week to end their season.

These two Marshall County Sharpshooters both finished second and brought home gun cases from the Spink County BB Gun Tournament last weekend. Austin Crawford was second in the 12 & Up Division while Rosalyn Rapkock was second in the 8&9 year-old bracket.

Top-seeded Aberdeen Christian jumped out to an early lead and cruised to a 5517 win over Britton-Hecla in Region 1B boys’ basketball tournament action last week Tuesday at the Aberdeen Civic Arena.
