Clay Crawford of the Marshall County 4-H Sharpshooters shot a 100 with seven centers for third place in prone and a total score that gave him first place in a tournament of 204 competitors on Saturday.

The 2020 South Dakota BB Gun season began with a different look for the Marshall County Shaprshooters.
Langford Area senior Chesney Olson drives to the basket in the Region 1B semifmals against Northwestern. The Lady Lions lost to Irene-Wakonda in a SoDak 16 contest on Thursday.
Ady Dwight had 13 points and 10 rebounds but the Langford Area girls fell to Irene-Wakonda in the SoDak 16 to fall one game short of the Class B state tournament.

Langford Area’s girls basketball team saw its season come to an end at the hands of Irene-Wakonda 53-38 in the SoDak 16 game played in Huron on Thursday.
Andrew James of Britton-Hecla put up a left-handed shot against Great Plains Lutheran in Region 1B action. The Braves lost to Leola-Frederick in quarterfinal play last week Tuesday.

Second-seeded LeolaFrederick avenged a regular season loss and ended the Britton-Hecla boys basketball season with a 55-52 victory in the quarterfinals of the Region 1B tournament last week Tuesday.

The seventh-seeded Britton-Hecla’s boys basketball team took care of business with a 60-36 victory over 10th-seeded Great Plains Lutheran in first round play of the Region 1B tournament in Webster on Monday to put itself into a rather unique position.
