Sharpshooters Second

The Marshall County 4H Sharpshooters traveled to Pierre for their in-person BB Gun tournament this past weekend.

The competition was strong, and the eight and nine-year-old team continued to show its strength. The squad of Harry Cutler, Ariana Crawford, Rhyker Bender, Delilah Maxwell, and Lukas Knudson finished second with a score of 2016 and 19 center shots.

Cutler led his team with a score of 420 and four centers giving him third overall in his division. Crawford was one center shot behind him with 420 and three centers for fourth place. Bender also finished in the top ten with an aggregate score of 402 and four centers.

Cutler brought home second in kneeling at 88.02, third in sitting at 92.03 and ninth in standing, shooting a 73. Crawford finished first in standing with an 83, and 10th in sitting with an 87.02. Bender placed third in standing at 79 and seventh in kneeling with 85.03. Maxwell finished fourth in standing at 78.

Alivia Crawford finished fifth in sitting with a score of 95.02 for the 10 and 11-yearold division.

The 12 and up team took fifth place, finishing just six points out of the top three. Chris Cutler led the team with an aggregate of 466 and 18 centers. He was hairs away from a perfect score in sitting with a total of 99 and eight center shots for first place. Teammate Baylee Bender took ninth in standing at 91.03. Cutler, Bender and teammate Kaylee Biel took honors in the written test with scores of 92, 90, and 94.

This Saturday the Sharpshooters travel to Madison for the Aces annual BB Gun Tournament. You may track results at orionscores.
