Lions Still Looking For First Victory

Home Games This Week

The Langford Area boys basketball team is still looking for its first win of the season, dropping a pair of contests to Lyman 62-31 and Lemmon 5519 during the holiday break.

Coach Brian Schuring’s club took an 0-7 record into a game at Redfield last night Tuesday. Thursday the Lions will host Waubay-Summit and Herreid-Selby comes to town for a twin bill with the girls’ squad on Friday.

“Having games over Christmas break can be tough because of lack of contact with your players,” noted Schuring. “I was proud of the boys and the way they competed on the road at Lemmon and the Huron Classic.

“We have not shot the ball well yet this season, which is compounded by turnovers that give the opposing team more opportunities,” added Schuring. “Once we are able to get better at these two things we will be able to compete better against teams.”
