B-H Net Squad Wins One Of Three

Britton-Hecla’s volleyball squad picked up a win over Waubay-Summit last week Tuesday but then lost to Groton Area on Monday and Aberdeen Roncalli on Thursday in straight sets.

“The last couple games have been tough,” said BH coach Jena Peters, whose club stands at 8-10 on the season. “We have some work to do before Thursday, but I know these girls can do it. We need to get our confidence up again and take it one game at a time.”

The Lady Braves travel to Hamlin on Thursday and play at Great Plains Lutheran on Tuesday.

After a tight opening set Groton Area went on a roll to sweep the Lady Braves.

Abby Lee had five kills, Heather Storbakken served a pair of aces, and Annika Tank had 11 digs to lead B-H.

After Britton-Hecla lost a 28-26 heartbreaker in set two Aberdeen Roncalli went on to sweep the Lady Braves.

Tiyanna Scyott had seven kills and was 10-10 at the service line with an ace, while Emma Kraft hit 14-15 service tries and added six kills for BH.
