TERM LIMITS FOR SD?

As the South Dakota legislative session gets underway, the issue of term limits is resurfacing. Senate Joint Resolution 501, sponsored by District 1 Republican Sen. Michael Rohl, would ask voters to amend the state constitution to limit lawmakers to eight consecutive years in one chamber and require a two-year break before they could seek a seat in the other chamber.
