TROY LEE BISTODEAU

Troy Lee Bistodeau, age 51, of Watertown, SD, passed away on Monday, November 1, 2021, at his residence. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, November 5, 2021, at Crawford-Osthus Funeral Chapel in Watertown. Services will be led by Diane Hoines. The family is requested to meet at the chapel on Friday by 10:00 a.m. for a prayer service. The service will be Live-Streamed and Facebook Live via the Crawford-Osthus Funeral Chapel website.

Visitation will be at Crawford-Osthus Funeral Chapel in Watertown on Thursday from 5-7 p.m.

Honorary pallbearers will be: Dion Pietz, Nathan Constant, Bob Gleason, Todd Kaasa, and Larry Kaasa.

Troy was born on February 3, 1970, in Aberdeen, SD, to Steven and Marcia (Bruns) Bistodeau. He graduated from Langford High School in 1988, and received a degree from Lake Area Technical College in Watertown in 1990.

He was employed at Custom Fabricators in Watertown for over 20 years in quality control, making parts for Indian Motorcycles. He was currently working at Aero Trailers in Watertown.

Troy was an avid Nascar racing fan, cheering on his favorite driver, Rusty Wallace. He enjoyed throwing darts, hunting, the Minnesota Vikings, and riding motorcycles. Troy shared his passion of working on cars and ice fishing with his son, Wylie. They would have a competition to see who could catch the biggest fish. His greatest love was spending time with his family. He loved being with his nieces and nephews, tickling and playfully teasing them.

Grateful for having shared his life are his son, Wylie Bistodeau, of Harrisburg, SD, his parents, Steven (JoEllen) Bistodeau, of Aberdeen, SD, and Marcia (Paul) Reints, of Langford, SD; one brother, Devin (Ashley) Reints, of Aberdeen, SD; three sisters: Theresa Bistodeau, of Pierpont, SD, Jade (Austin) Dresow, of Sauk Rapids, MN, and Allison Bistodeau, of Aberdeen, SD; three nieces: Morgan, Karsyn, and Aria; two nephews: Lincoln, and Lawson; and his canine companion, Sammy.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
