RUSS LANE KNECHT

Russ Lane Knecht was born September 17, 1956 to Lloyd and Joyce (Gagnum) Knecht at Aberdeen, SD. He grew up in Houghton and attended Houghton Grade School, Hecla High School and Northern State College.

Russ was currently living in Yerington, NV with his wife, Nannette (Nowack). He had retired after 30 years at Casino West. They had just purchased their first house and were enjoying being homeowners along with retirement. He enjoyed golf, fishing, hunting and bowling.

Russ passed away in his sleep on January 5th at the age of 65.

Grateful for having shared his life is his wife of 28 years, Nan Knecht; her children: Dennis Allen Roe (Shannon), Andrea Lynn Mullins, Jennifer Marie Flint, Rebecca Jean Robinson, 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. His brother, Ron (JoDee) Knecht; Sister, Julene (Greg) Yackley and nieces and nephews: Kristen (Jason) Pittmann, Lesli Colestock, Kevin (Amanda) Colestock, Chad (Stacey) Knecht and Chance Knecht. Great nieces and nephews: Shay, Jayden, Julia, Zander, Blakely, Katie and Connor.

Preceding him in death were his parents and grandparents.

A Celebration of Life will take place at Trinity Lutheran Church in Houghton on February 5th at 2:00.
