MICHAEL “MIKE” HOLEY

The celebration of life for Michael “Mike” Holey was 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 8, 2022 at the Britton Event Center. Rev. Terrill Sorensen officiated and inurnment will be at a later date.

Michael “Mike” Holey was born on June 4, 1983, in Fargo, ND to Timothy and Lori (Stenvold) Holey. He was three months premature and weighed 1 pound and 11 ½ oz.

He attended Britton Public Schools and graduated in 2002. Mike worked various jobs in Britton, most recently at Stenvold Construction.

Mike enjoyed playing guitar and listening to rock music. He lived life to the fullest and was known for his big heart and generosity. He never said a bad word about anyone and enjoyed celebrating life in the company of family and friends.

Mike passed away Monday, October 3, 2022 at his apartment in Britton, at the age of 39.

Mike is survived by his parents Tim and Lori; his sister Miranda (Justin) Bergh; and his beloved niece Ella June of Florence, AL. His extended family includes his aunts and uncles: David Holey, Nancy Raddohl, Danny Holey, Kitty (Bruce) Johnson, Dan (Leah) Stenvold, Dawn (Tom) Roney, Sherry (Russ) Hosford, Charlotte (Calvin) Diehl, Cindy Stenvold, Henry (Deb) Stenvold, David Stenvold, Kirby (Karen) Stenvold, and Lisa (Clinton) Kann; and several cousins.

Mike was preceded in death by his grandparents Alvin and June Holey and John and Marlene Stenvold; his aunts: Janie Junker, Judy Holey, Candyce Lehr, Kathy Stenvold, and Patty Stenvold; cousin, little Timmy Holey, and baby Carlson.

His arrangements have been entrusted to the Price Funeral Chapel of Britton.
