LYLE HAIR

Lyle William Hair, 87, passed away Sunday, March 5, 2023, in Wichita, KS. He was born March 31, 1935, in Britton, SD to Lyle Wilbert Hair and Dorothy Eva (Schulenburg) Hair. Lyle married Patricia Chard in Lincoln, KS on June 17, 1956. After a twenty-year distinguished career in the United States Air Force, having served overseas in the Vietnam War and earning the distinguished Flying Cross, Lyle retired from military service to become a barber serving the Lincoln community. He was a member of the Lincoln VFW Post 7928, the Lincoln Community Church, and the NRA.

Lyle is survived by his wife Patricia of Lincoln; sons, Omar Hair (Carol) of Lincoln and Karl Hair of Salina, KS; daughters, Patricia Nelson and Kathy Nelson both of Lincoln; daughter-in-law, Anna Hair of Washington, KS; grandchildren, Michael and David Hair, William Evans, Jacob Scholer, Jonathan and Joel Nelson, and Jaci Williams; great grandchildren, Lyle, Elisa, and Ian Hair, Sierra and Bobby Evans, Asher Williams, and one on the way; and great-great granddaughter Layla. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Ida Conn and Dolly Lenius; brother Floyd Hair; sons, Steven and Matthew Hair; and grandsons, Timothy, Ryan, and Ali Hair.

Memorial service was 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 11, 2023 at the Lincoln Community Church with inurnment following at the Lincoln Cemetery with military honors.
