JERRY TROWER

Jerry Trower, 77 of Sisseton, South Dakota died Saturday, April 9, 2022 at Ava’s House, Sioux Falls, South Dakota. A private family service will be held at a later date.

Jerry Dean Trower was born in Sisseton on August 9, 1944 to Sherman and Ella (Lotz) Trower. He attended country school and graduated from Sisseton High School in 1962. Jerry served in the National Guard. He was a dairy farmer for many years and later worked several jobs in the Sisseton/Britton area. Jerry eventually retired from the State Park – Fort Sisseton Division. In retirement, he rode motorcycle and enjoyed watching NASCAR. He especially enjoyed being outdoors and working on various projects around the farm.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Della Trower; five children, Terry (Kathleen) Trower, Tracy Trower, DeeAnn (Timothy) Ellerton, Dallas Trower and Darrin (Kristy) Trower; ten grandchildren, Morgan and Sierra Trower, Eli, Cyndal, Jilianne and Ethan Ellerton, Preston, Caitlyn, Mataya and Blaine Trower; siblings, Darlene (Danny) Stroba, Gail Pearson and Ray (Beverly) Trower; mother-in-law, Bernice Guy; numerous nieces and nephews.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, father-in-law, Hurshell Guy, one grandchild and brother-in-law, Don Pearson.
