ETHAN REASY

Ethan Averill Reasy, age 29, of Rapid City, formerly of Aberdeen, South Dakota, passed away on Monday, December 18, 2023, near Sturgis, SD.

A Celebration of Life, sharing memories and fellowship, will be held at Schriver’s Memorial Fellowship Center on Saturday, January 6, 2024, from 1:00 to 3:00 pm.

Ethan was born on July 30th, 1994, to Darren and Elizabeth (Schuck) Reasy in Aberdeen, South Dakota. Ethan graduated from Central High School in 2013. After graduation, Ethan enjoyed working in the Hospitality Industry until his passing.

Ethan loved his work; he loved interacting with people and helping them enjoy their day. That is what he enjoyed most in life. He received an award for being one of the best employees at The Park in Rapid City the night before his accident. He worked hard and did his ultimate best at everything he did. Ethan had an excellent work ethic.

Ethan actively attended Catholic Church in Rapid City, SD He went to church weekly and sometimes more. Ethan prayed the rosary daily. He was a Christian and had an abundance of Faith in God. Recently, he was told that maybe his calling in life should be with the church or he should do missionary work.

He was at his best when he was volunteering to help during disasters and would travel across the country to help the community clean up after them. Ethan also loved to donate blood to help those in need.

Ethan was one of the most genuine, kindhearted people you would ever meet. If there was something he wanted to see or do, he would just arrange it and go. He was so free when he was doing what he loved through his traveling. Ethan recently got his passport because he wanted to travel to Germany.

Ethan will truly be missed by so many, and he impacted so many lives by who he was. Our heavenly father is well pleased, Ethan.

Ethan is survived by his mother Elizabeth Carsten, father Darren (Steph) Reasy, grandmother Sue Rumrey, grandfather Mark Rumrey, uncle Larry Schuck, and son James Schuck, uncle David Schuck and daughter Emily Schuck, uncle Cody Rumrey and brother Carter Reasy, grandmother Judy Reasy, uncle Devlin (Tammy) Reasy son Devlin Jr., Taylor (Chris) Novak their kids Blair, Avril, Vincent, Lindsey (Jason) Prouty their kids Isla and Edith, uncle Dustin (Whitney) Reasy, their son Luka, aunt Melinda (Glen) Aldentaler their kids Hailey (Karsten) Steigelmeier their son Lincoln, cousins, Garrett, Benjamin and Sam Aldentaler.

Ethan was preceded in death by his sister ShyLynnReasy, brother Evan Odde, grandfather Larry Schuck Sr, and grandfather Mark Reasy.
