DON ARLYN MUELLER

Don A. Mueller, 68, of Browns Valley, SD, died Sunday, February 27, 2022, at his home. At his request, there will be no formal services.

Arrangements by Spitzer-Miller Funeral Home, 1111 South Main Street, Aberdeen, SD.

Don was born July 2, 1953, to Carl D. and Eunice L. (Erbe) Mueller in Britton, SD. He grew up on the family farm near Britton and attended school there. Don was the homecoming king and graduated in 1971 from Britton High School. After high school, he earned his Certificate of Aviation to become a private pilot. He enjoyed flying his private plane and crop dusting their farmland. Don was married to Dawn Williams for six years. They had one daughter, Delci Mueller. After Don retired, he lived in Britton then later moved to Lake Traverse.

Don truly loved farming and flying his plane. He enjoyed playing card games with his Lake Traverse friends. He enjoyed working on cars, tinkering with almost anything, and was always willing to help others. Don was known for his wit, sarcasm and a smile that would light up the room. Don loved his family and lived for his two grandchildren, Toby and Kamber.

Don did not want an obituary, but of course his daughter did not listen. All he wanted were the words, “Don Mueller lived, Don Mueller died. The End.”

Grateful for having shared in Don’s life are his daughter, Delci Mueller (Tyler Lambert), grandchildren Toby Lambert and Kamber Lambert, his siblings: Kent Mueller, Peggy Helin, Judy Kubat, Patty Kelly, and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding Don in death are his parents, one sister, Nancy Harrington and one brother, Dennis Mueller.
