KENNETH “KENNY” WATKINS

The celebration of life for Kenneth “Kenny” Watkins was at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, July 29, 2023 at the Marshall County VFW Post #3507 at 718 Main St. in Britton, SD.

Kenneth Duane Watkins was born September 5, 1945 in Ellendale, ND to William and Eleanor (Kendall) Watkins. He graduated from Britton High School in 1963. Following graduation he entered into the service and served in the Vietnam War.

After returning from the war he moved back to Britton and began working at Britton Lumber under Dean Enderson. He was a gifted carpenter and ran his own carpentry business for a number of years. He was an avid reader and would read multiple books a week. He also enjoyed fishing.

Kenny passed away Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at Avera St. Luke’s in Aberdeen, at the age of 77.

He is survived by his sons, Kristian (Kelly) Watkins of Tuscan, AZ and Kory Watkins of Britton; his grandchildren: Coalter and Claudia; his siblings, Billy (Carol) Watkins and Bob (Kay) Watkins.

He was preceding in death by his parents and his wife Claudia.
