BETTY LOU BRASH-ALLSHOUSE

Betty Lou Brash-Allshouse was born on September 15, 1940 to Percy and Mabel (Mundt) Smart in Kidder, South Dakota. She grew up in the Britton/Kidder area. Betty went to school in Kidder but spent her final year in Britton.

She married Darrel Brash in 1965 and they lived in the Britton area until Darrel’s passing in 1988. Betty moved to Aberdeen, SD in 1990 where she worked at United Defense until she retired in 2006 and moved to Rapid City, SD to be close to her daughter and family. Betty was lucky enough to marry her crush of 30+ years in 2021.

Betty is survived by the love of her life, Herb Allshouse; daughter, Karen (Brian) Louder of Rapid City; three grandchildren, Ryan, Jesse, and Chelsea; four brothers, Bill Smart, Paul (Judy) Smart, Dennis (Denise) Smart, and Jack (Mary-Lou) Smart; and one sister, Susan (Dean) Hallen.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mable and Percy Smart; and sister, Patty McGregor.
