The celebration of life for Joyce Kristofferson will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 24, 2023 at the Britton Event Center. Rev. Terrill Sorensen will officiate the service and inurnment will be at the Britton Cemetery.

A visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the Britton Event Center.

Joyce was born in Britton and married her high school sweetheart, Roy Kristofferson, in 1948. Together they embarked on a journey that included living in 7 states. During their time together the couple had 4 children: Steven, Jon, Dan and Nancy. Joyce was always up for new adventures and enjoyed traveling along with decorating and gardening. Her creativity showed in her homes and work as a bridal consultant.

She passed away peacefully on Friday, May 12, 2023 at Wheatcrest Hills in Britton, at the age of 94.

Grateful for having shared Joyce’s life are her husband, children and their spouses and partners, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers and sisters, many relatives and friends.

Preceding Joyce in death are her parents, Harold and Lucille (Friess) Thayer; her first son, Steven; her husband, Roy; and her siblings: Harvey and Duane Thayer.
