TWYLA DINGER
TWYLA DINGER
She grew up and attended school in Sioux Falls. She was united in marriage to Gene Dinger on September 1, 1973 at Houghton, SD. They made their home on a farm near Hecla, SD where they raised their family.
As a lifetime Vikings fan, Twyla spent many years hoping for a Super Bowl win. When it wasn’t football season, Twyla would be watching Nascar. When the seasons crossed, she’d have the race on one TV and Nascar on the other.
There wasn’t a bird or cat in the area that went hungry. Granddaughter Samantha built a giant bird feeder which Gene put up outside her kitchen window. As more cats moved in, Gene built a cat cabin for 14 and growing farm cats to live.
Twyla also loved doing jigsaw puzzles, word searches, watching game shows, westerns, murder mysteries and listening to her records.
Most of all,Twyla loved her family. She loved and bragged about her 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Twyla was preceded in death by her parents, Don & Dorothy, sisters, Donna Leeman and Connie Lilla, her brother Mike Fanebust, her in-laws, Fritz & Kate Dinger, and a brother-in-law, David Dinger.
She will be forever loved and missed by her husband Gene Dinger, daughter Shannon “Sam” (Joseph) Beem, Yankton, SD; son Dallas “Boone” (Tammy) Dinger of Hecla; 11 grandchildren, Mariah “Milo” Beem, Athens, TN, Samantha Lenius (Derek Hanson), Britton, SD, Connor (Brianna) Beem, Sioux Falls, SD and Delaney Dinger (Ian Cairns), Worthing, SD, Jordan Hoops (Neil Leyda), North Augusta, SC, Alex Hoops, Pierpont, SD, Rachel (Tate) Mehrer, Aberdeen, SD, Sarah Hoops, Wahpeton, ND, Jimmy Hoops (Kenzie Gus), Drayton, ND, Danielle Hoops, Hecla, SD and Monte Hoops, Hecla, SD; 6 great-grandchildren, Ridge Elm, Halston Elm, Elaina Jo Beem, Jordy Beem, Berkley Hoops and Trac Hanson.
