LYLE EUGENE PIERSON

LYLE EUGENE PIERSON

October 22, 1933 – February 26, 2026

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Lyle Eugene Pierson on February 26, 2026 at the age of 92. He was a resident of Gold River, CA and formerly resided in Fremont and Pleasanton.

Lyle was born in South Dakota on October 22, 1933. He graduated from Britton High School in 1951 and married his high school sweetheart in 1952. They moved to California in 1955 where they raised their family. Lyle went on to build a life defined by hard work and dedication to his family, friends and his career. He worked in the electrical field for 40 years for Ideal Cement, General Motors and Lockheed. A true sports enthusiast, Lyle found immense joy in every aspect of the game, from playing and coaching to cheering for his favorite Bay Area teams. Lyle will be remembered as a kind and generous man who deeply cared about others. He loved and cherished his family above all else and he believed in providing for and being present for those he loved. This world has lost an amazing man who will be dearly missed and forever loved by all. We will never stop wishing for one more day.

In 2020, Lyle was preceded in death by the love of his life, Noreen, after 67 years of marriage. Not a day went by that he didn’t speak of her and all their special memories. Lyle was also preceded in death by his loving parents, Lawrence and Hattie Pierson, and his sister, Joy Brezika. He is survived by his four children, Gregory Pierson, Lon Pierson (Vicki), Julee Snitselaar (Steven) and Barry Pierson, their seven grandchildren, their fifteen greatgrandchildren, and his brother, Dayton Pierson (Kristi).

The viewing will be held on Friday, March 13th at Mount Vernon Memorial Park & Mortuary in Fair Oaks, CA from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. Burial Services are Saturday, March 14th at the Chapel of the Chimes in Hayward, CA at 2:00 pm.
