LENNIE HINMAN
LENNIE HINMAN

Lennie LeRoy Hinman was born October 10, 1968 to Larry and Rosella (Larson) Hinman.
Lennie grew up with the freedom of being a farm kid in the hills of Northeastern South Dakota. Roaming freely through the hills, shorelines and creeks of the region. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, having an uncanny way of finding the big ones!
Lennie graduated from Veblen High School in 1986 and attended NDSCS for a semester before realizing the classroom wasn’t for him. Lennie had many occupations over the years. Going south with the custom combiners, carpentry and construction with local companies, and working for local farmers. For the last several years Lennie worked for Coyote Fencing while living with his Dad and helping around the farm. Lennie had a loud recognizable laugh and enjoyed making friends wherever he went, many remaining close friends over the years.
Lennie had his struggles and was finally winning the battle. He died peacefully in his sleep, during the early morning of his 57th birthday, October 10, 2025.
Lennie will be missed and fondly remembered by his father, Larry; daughter, Lyndsey (Ryan) Hall and their daughter Rylee; sisters, Rhoda (Scott Nickeson) Hinman and Roxanne (Stuart Feser) Anderson; his brother, Leon (Brenda) Hinman; and many, many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. And his special grand-nephew Layton, who always made sure to go downstairs to see Uncle Wennie.
He leaves us to join his paternal grandparents, Lester (Pete) and Gladys Hinman; maternal grandparents, Helen Larson Thom and Earl Larson; his mother, Rosella; brothers, Lonnie and Larry Jo;, and nephew, Derek Hinman.
Condolences may be directed to the family in care of Larry Hinman – 43824 111th St. – Veblen, SD 57270.
