TERESA DIEGEL

Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at Nazareth Lutheran Church in Cogswell, concluding with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service.
Teresa Lynn Strong was born November 15, 1962 in Valley City, ND to Darrell F. Strong and Linda R. (Thayer) Holmgren. She attended her early schooling in Rutland and Havana before graduating from Sargent Central in Forman. Throughout high school and college, she worked at Hunters in Britton, SD. Following graduation Teresa married Arnold Harrison, and together they welcomed their daughter, Kelsey while living in Cogswell, ND. Later, Teresa moved to Wahpeton, ND to attend college at NDSCS. After college she returned to Cogswell and began working at J&M Printing in Gwinner, ND, while also working weekends at the Cogswell bar. During this time, she met Tate Diegel and the two were married on February 18, 1994. They made their home in Cogswell and had three children, Chance, Hunter and Tatum. In 2004 she began working at the Kic Bac Bar & Grill alongside her mom and sister in Cogswell where she worked until it was sold in 2015. During that time, she also served the community through the Senior Nutrition meals. In 2015 she started working at Four Seasons Healthcare Center in Forman. In 2019 she transitioned to working at the Villas and as the manager at the Forman Inn & Suites. She truly had a giving heart and loved caring for others. Teresa served on the Cogswell City Counsel, as well as City Auditor for a few years. She was a member of Nazareth Lutheran Church of Cogswell.
Family was everything to Teresa. She was deeply proud of her four children and cherished every moment with her grandchildren. She loved gathering her family together and making memories. In her free time, she enjoyed puzzles, gardening, rummage sales, trips to the casino, and always had a Diet Coke and a sweet treat nearby. Her heart of gold and a smile that lit up every room — she will be dearly missed by many.
Teresa passed away Thursday, June 26, 2025 at Oakes Community Hospital at the age of 62.
