Britton native and former South Dakota governor Frank Farrar passed away at the age of 92. He served as governor from 1969- 1971 and had resided in Britton since that time.

Pandemic Still Top Story

The hope that 2021 would bring about some sense of normalcy after a year of upheaval due to the COVID-19 pandemic was partially realized, but the threat of the virus continued to hang over Marshall County and the world for the past 12 months and ranks as the top story in Journal Country for the second consecutive year.
