Summer Fest In Langford Fri-Sun

Billed as “The Biggest Little Party in Northeast South Dakota,” Langford’s Summer Fest and Alumni Weekend is set for Friday through Sunday.

A Block Party at Healy’s Yard (211 Hickory Street) from 6-8 p.m. Friday will kick off the festivities, followed by an Alumni Party featuring Bradyn and Micah Small at the Legion from 8 p.m.-12 a.m.

On Saturday, several activities are planned. A Texas Hold’ emTournament isplanned at the Legion for 11 a.m. The Class of 1993 Poker Run will start from Ponts in Pierpont at noon. A new Slip ‘n Slide kickball tournament will be 2 p.m. at the football field. (Text JaKelle at 605-470-0154 to register a team). The Shriner’s Bean Bag Tournament will be held near the Legion Hall at 4 p.m. with a beer and wine tasting at last same time at the Legion. The day will wrap up with the Alumni Party featuring live music at the Legion from 9 p.m.-12 a.m.

During the day Saturday town-wide garage sales will run during the morning. Big Stone Radio Boom Box will be playing through the evening and a community meal by Incredible Edibles will be at the Fire Hall from 5-8 p.m.

A community church service will be held at the Legion Hall on Sunday at 10 a.m. The annual Show’n Shine Car Show is set for the Park of the Pines from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. The Incredible Edibles Food Truck will be serving breakfast and lunch from 8 a.m.-2 p.m.
