Langford Fundraiser

The Langford Area students worked to raise money for a special cause a couple of weeks ago. The students raised over $1280 for a student from Faulkton right before the schools’ volleyball teams played each other. The funds were raised for Kayden Hammond, a junior who is battling leukemia in addition to complications from West Nile Virus. The junior girls from LA presented the money to the Junior girls from Faulkton. The Lions volleyball team wore orange socks and hair ribbons as a show of support. (Orange is the color of Leukemia Awareness). Many fans in the crowd on both sides wore orange as well. Langford folks said they would love to see other area schools do a small fundraiser of some kind to help his family as well. To read more about Kayden, visit www.caringbridge.org/visit/kaydenhammond
